Black Friday

Okay, I am seriously excited about a new website I found. I mean this sincerely, as I love a bargain. As a stay-at-home mom money is always tight. So if I can find a new way to save money I can’t help but get a little giddy.

If you live in the United States you know Black Friday is the busiest shopping day of the year. Held the day after Thanksgiving, retailers discount products to help kick off the Christmas shopping season. You can find some great deals. However (as I know from experience) you will also find huge crowds, long lines and (if you don’t get there early enough) empty shelves.

Last year I was standing outside Target at 3:00 AM waiting for the doors to open. It was cold and dark and after a big Thanksgiving dinner the night before I wasn’t feeling the joy of saving a few dollars. Instead I stood their with my sister-in-law questioning our sanity. I mean we could have been in our warm beds sleeping.

Not to say that once I was inside Target my adrenaline didn’t kick in. I found great deals in every department. Since I have 2 kids and a total of eight nieces and nephews the toy section was the first place I stopped at. Let me just say Target is the place to buy board games on Black Friday.

Even though I arrived home with arm loads of bargain priced loot, I still would have been nice to have slept in. Then perhaps after a few cups of coffee I could of gone out and leisurely hit the mall looking for bargains. This is of course a dream as we all know Black Friday bargains wait for no one.

This is why I am so excited about this new site I found. It is called black friday. This site allows you to buy items online without the hassle of the store crowds and the early morning hours. Perhaps just as exciting is the fact that this site will post Black Friday ads prior to the delivery of your Thanksgiving Day newspaper. This means you can find out what stores will have the best deals before any one else. I love that! This site is really consumer friendly and I think it will be really useful for planning my holiday shopping.

If you are all about the thrill and adventure that shopping on Black Friday brings, check this site out. You can find out what each store will have on sale and then strategically plot your shopping day. Personally for me, this site will allow me to sleep in this year. I will still be able to shop at Target or at any of the other great stores this site lists. How ever this year I will shop in the comfort of my pajamas at my computer. I can not help but smile at the thought of gingerly sipping my coffee at my computer desk and finding rocking deals without fighting the crowds.

To make sure I will not miss a thing I went onto their website today and signed up to be notified when new Black Friday ads have been posted. I am already giddy with anticipation. I am hoping to get the majority of my Christmas shopping done this way.

I have been looking into shopping online more as there are great deals to be found. Add the convenience online shopping brings, this is right up my alley!
