In the past few months I have been giving online shopping more of an open mind. I have always been nervous when it came to shopping on the web. Like everyone, I have heard the stories on the news about identity theft. So you can’t blame me for being a little uneasy with posting my personal information online.
However, due to these problems in the past, companies have installed new safety measures making it much safer to use a credit card for an online service. For example shopping cart software has come a long way in protecting consumers.
Ashop Commerce is one of America’s leading providers of shopping cart software. Their ecommerce software provides award-winning features with the most up to date shopping cart system. They accept credit cards in real-time and the site content can be updated quickly and easily.
However, as an online consumer Ashop ecommerce software provides the most important feature. This being built in SSL protection (otherwise known as checkout security). This allows me to purchase a birthday gift for a friend online without fear I'll end up a victim of identity theft.

I understand your concern with on-line shopping, but most sites today are secure.
I have an on-line gift ship, Rhonda's Fabric Gifts, soon to be Giggles & Sugar Kisses. I have never encountered a problem with my customer's personal information. I use Paypal to handle all transactions, I never see my customer's credit card or other personal information.
Hope this helps to eliminates some of your fear.
